Metal-tech tube doors are a direct fit, bolt-on tube door for the FJ40 featuring one year of development and testing. Stainless steel paddle latches make it easy to get in and out of the FJ40 and secure the doors tight. Our paddle latches come with interior pull knobs to open the doors as well. Featuring Metal-tech's 1.5” tube framing the doors and precision CNC laser cut mounting plates for a guaranteed first fit. Since these doors use the factory hinge they will allow for maximum misalignment if needed for those 20+ year old tubs, unlike any welded fixed hinges. Easily supporting the weight of a 200lb adult sitting on the door, they are extremely strong yet under half the weight of the typical tube door (13lbs). Trail tested in 2007 all over, TX, UT, TN, FL, RI, CA, NM, CO. (Trails like Rubicon, Moab and Tellico).
Of course they are powder coated! Each set of tube doors are dipped, baked, sand basted and powder coated black for the best protection and performance. They are available (upon special request) in raw form for those looking to custom paint them. A pair of doors in raw form are $19 less than the listed retail price.
